We are the world!

　　In 1985, Michael Jackson and a group of stars recorded We Are the World in a studio in Hollywood. The song raised more than $30 million for the starving people in Africa. Twenty five years later, the same studio was, once again, crowded with stars. They came together not only for the 25th anniversary of the song, but also for the remake of it.

　　On January 12, a massive earthquake hit Haiti, causing thousands of deaths and leaving many people injured and in need of help. In order to call people around the world to come together for the healing of Haiti, a new version of We Are the World, officially titled We Are the World — 25 for Haiti*, was created.

　　The song united music’s 80 biggest names, including pop icons like Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion, teen stars like Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, and a singer from Haiti named Wyclef Jean. In the spirit of We Are the World, all the stars were excited to lend their voice to the song for the people of Haiti.

　　According to the song, there are certain times when the world must come together as one and lend a hand to life. The world is calling. It’s time for you and me to start giving and make a brighter day!
