游学心得——My Trip to America

 This was my first time to be abroad. I’d really appreciate SSP that it had provide this precious experience for us to visit such magnificent places. I enjoyed myself a lot and also improved my spoken English.

§The University of California

Making Newspaper is really fascinating. Our newspaper is called: TRAVEL FRONT. I was glad to be the editor. I wrote the who article. Subastian is good at drawing. She drew an eagle for the newspaper. I was busy but happy. We won the second place, though. We enjoyed the whole process.

§L.A. Times

We were previliged to have visited the L.A.Times and have had an opportunity to have an interview with the famous reporter Louis Sahagun. He told us if we want to be a successfuo reporter some day, we need to work hard and read more. He said: ‘The mor you read, the more you learn’ and ‘enlarge your knowledge and open your mind, have more interests in journalism, you’ll be successful’.

§State Department

It was a precious chance to go to State Department. We visited the OFFICER Fred Lash (called ‘Flash’). His work is really hard. And in addition, it is also hard to become an officer who worked for Kelly or Cliton. You must have a diplomer from a University, enjoy speaking to people, know communicationrules, most importantly: enjoy working with reporters!

That was my brief introduction of the first trip to U.S. I hope I could go there again some day.
