English Festival, a Lovely Christmas Gift

The closing ceremony falling on Dec.25 put our school's two-week English Festival to an end. As for us, the unforgettable memory during those days was the loveliest Christmas gift presented by our school!

The English Festival was a big hit in our school. It was like an English feast. Everyone took an active part in the various activities including theEnglish speech competition—“What Can We Do for The Expo”, dramas, English radio, dubbing, English Musicals,etc. Almost everyone could find one to participate in.

Among all the fantastic shows, the short play Song of Music acted by Senior 2 students won the largest popularity and impressed all the students as well as the teachers deeply. They quoted a classical episode of the original where the new governess Maria met the 7 children for the first time. Equipped with well-prepared stage properties, the show reproduced the scene on the stage, which seemed to take the audience into the real movie. Their moving songs, shining costumes and super efforts undoubtedly made them the best. We displayed the spirit of friendship, the passion，the energy of youth and of course our love for English.

Whether a performer, a competitor or a spectator, each of us was involved, making our campus a sea of English.A girl said about the festival: “It’s awesome!”
